The winner will be announced in November.
Nominees are chosen from among the papers published in the 2021 volume judged to demonstrate innovation and/or excellence in a variety of ways. Members of the Editorial board choose a winner from amongst these nominees considering a variety of factors such as (but not limited to) originality and creativity, theoretical, conceptual or methodological approach, topic, connections and theme and contribution to the discipline and the understanding of social life.
All four BSA journals offer this prize annually; previous winners are on the BSA website.
